What if I got better sleep?

Zzzzzzzz...

This week I had my mom pick out some pins for me to try on What if Wednesday. (My mom's the best) There was one about quick healthy breakfasts and one about getting better sleep. So I let the people choose and ...*drumroll*... sleep won! (side note:video at the end)

I'm a master at sleeping, so I thought this would be a cool pin to try. I have one friend who, for a whole semester, every time she came over to see what I was up to, I was sleeping. So, there's your proof. Even though I can sleep a lot, it doesn't mean I always get the best sleep, or wake up in a fantastic mood. I remember in middle school my mom didn't dare to wake me up in the morning because I was a grumpy beast (see fear).
I followed the tips from this wonderful infographic (below) from an article by Quartz.
After I took a long shower I turned off all of the lights in my room and put a blanket over my window. It was just about as dark as the abyss. The one exception was the glow in the dark paint on my ceiling from a previous occupant of my room. There wasn't really anything I could do about that.

I plugged my phone in on the other side of my room, meditated, and thought positively. This morning I woke up and after turning on my light I was briefly blinded. Here's a picture for your enjoyment of that moment.
Then I did a quick workout that I found on Pinterest (obviously). It's super easy but something's better than nothing, right? All in all, it went pretty well. Since I didn't want to take creepy pictures of me sleeping I thought I'd post a video of how everything went. So, here ya go.
Hopefully, that wasn't too awkward...or maybe just the right amount. I definitely think I will try to keep doing these tips and maybe slowly become a morning person, if the universe permits such miracles. Here is Ryan Conti's latest video!
